Our Operations The Authorization Operations Area works in several ways to ensure that appropriate medicinal products reach patients. Approvals of new medicinal products and new indications, as well as safety monitoring of approved products, are central parts of our mission, as is also advisory services regarding medicinal product development and information about medicinal products. The Operations Area has approximately 300 employees and consists of several units. We work in the Unit for Efficacy and Safety (ES), where we assess documentation regarding the efficacy and safety of medicinal products. The investigations and recommendations we make form the basis for decisions on whether a medicinal product should be approved for clinical use. We collaborate with other EU member states in the investigation work and actively contribute to committees and working groups within the European Medicines Agency EMA. Your Responsibilities You will work with assessment of the safety and efficacy of veterinary medicinal products for various animal species. The work has both national and international character and is multifaceted. We can offer interesting tasks with good opportunities for professional development in a stimulating and knowledge-intensive operation. Your main task is to assess clinical studies aimed at supporting the safety and efficacy of veterinary medicinal products prior to approval. You may also assess license applications, clinical trials, adverse drug reactions, develop medicinal product information, communicate externally, and participate in quality assurance of assessment of both veterinary and human medicinal products. The work is varied, independent, responsible, and often challenging. You will receive introductory training and a mentor to create the best conditions for you to take on the role. Your Background We are looking for a veterinarian with experience in both clinical practice and research. Experience from medicinal product development or work at EU level is an advantage, as is work with infectious diseases and AMR issues. You have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, and very good skills in English regarding written communication within the natural science/medical scientific field. Your Personal Qualities It is crucial that you have a good ability to overview, break down and compile large amounts of information, see connections and draw logical conclusions based on scientific principles and express this in writing within set timeframes. You have a good ability to independently initiate, plan, implement and complete your commitments in a trustworthy and responsible manner. You enjoy working in teams and with a receptive, open and unpretentious approach, you contribute to a trusting and productive working climate in the group.
