As CEO of Skövde Energi AB, you will have the opportunity to lead a company that plays a central role in sustainable development, growth, and social value in Skövde. Skövde Energi is a group where electricity grid operations are conducted in a wholly-owned subsidiary. In addition to the business areas of district heating and electricity grid, there are also two operational areas with support functions. The company has 85 employees and is a reliable energy provider that delivers secure and long-term sustainable energy solutions with high service to our customers. We work long-term to create value for our customers, owners, and society at large. The company is owned by municipality residents through Skövde Stadshus AB, which means the operations combine commercial viability with a clear public mission. Skövde Energi has 22,000 electricity grid customers, 2,000 district heating customers, and a turnover of 514 million kronor in 2025. We are now seeking a strategic, engaged, and development-oriented CEO who wants to lead the company forward in a time characterized by electrification, sustainability transformation, and increased demands for robust energy supply. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES As CEO, you have overall responsibility for the company's operations, finances, development, and results. You lead the company based on the board's mandate and are responsible for translating strategic goals into concrete results. You have employer and workplace environment responsibilities as well as responsibility for security, crisis preparedness, and continuity. A management group of five roles supports you, four of whom report directly to the CEO. The position also includes the role of CEO of Skövde Energi Elnät AB, with responsibility for conducting regulated electricity grid operations in accordance with applicable legislation. Additionally, you are a board member and chair of VästEnergi Skaraborg AB, which is a jointly-owned company with Rabbalshede Kraft AB aimed at developing, producing, distributing, and storing hydrogen. In the role, you are expected to: • lead and develop the operations with focus on long-term sustainability, growth, and profitability. • lead the company in accordance with the municipality council's goals, articles of association, owner directives, and other governance documents, where you have a good understanding of municipal ownership governance and the ability to conduct active dialogue with the board, Skövde Stadshus AB, and the municipality's political leadership. • create conditions for future energy solutions and contribute to a robust and sustainable energy system. • ensure sound financial management and efficient resource use. • lead through the company's managers and create a common direction for the entire organization. • build and develop strong relationships with the board, owner, business community, authorities, and other strategic partners. • have strong and genuine customer focus and the ability to translate customer needs into business and operational development. • represent the company internally and externally and be a clear voice in matters concerning energy, sustainability, and societal development. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • several years of documented experience in strategic leadership with responsibility for operations, finances, results, and long-term development. • experience leading through other managers and creating a common direction in management systems with multiple levels of responsibility. • experience from the energy sector and understanding of its development and future challenges. • experience driving development, change, and implementation in larger organizations with measurable results. • experience in financial management at a strategic level and the ability to link resources, priorities, and effects to long-term value creation. • experience with board work and reporting to the board. • relevant academic education or other educational background that the employer considers equivalent for the assignment.
