Do you have experience in welding, turning, milling, and assembly, and do you thrive in a role where you get to work with the entire process from component to finished machine? Then this might be the job for you! With us, you'll become part of an engaged team where you get to take on significant responsibility and contribute your own ideas.
About the position
As a workshop technician, you'll have a broad and varied role where you follow the product through the entire manufacturing process, from component processing to fully assembled machine. You work with welding, turning, milling, and assembly and become an important part of ensuring high quality and efficient deliveries. The role also involves close collaboration with the engineering department, where together you contribute to finding practical solutions, developing products, and ensuring that designs work well in production.
The role combines varied work tasks with recurring production activities. During some periods you'll work on series manufacturing of components, while other times involve greater variety and assembly of complete machines. To thrive in the role, you therefore appreciate both repetitive work and the opportunity to switch between different tasks when operations require it.
With us, we work closely together and help each other across responsibility areas. We value taking initiative and are looking for someone who wants to contribute to continuous improvements, while also understanding the importance of quality, structure, and delivery precision.
The position is full-time and permanent, based at our operations in Karlstad.
Start date by agreement.
In the role, you will work with, among other things:
MIG/MAG welding
Turning and milling
Assembly of complete machines and subsystems
Drawing reading and interpretation of welding drawings
Measurement, inspection, and work with tolerances
Contribute to improvements and efficiency of work methods and production
Support colleagues in other parts of the operation when needed
About you
We're looking for someone who has a genuine interest in technology and is driven to learn new things. You're curious, see opportunities for improvement, and enjoy contributing ideas that develop both work methods and operations. You take responsibility for your work, work independently when needed, and thrive in a varied day where tasks and priorities can change.
As a person, you're unpretentious and enjoy collaborating with others to reach common goals. You're solution-oriented, have the ability to prioritize when circumstances change, and are motivated by delivering work of high quality. For you, thoroughness and professional pride are a natural part of daily work.
We're looking for someone who has:
Experience in workshop work or machine building
Experience with MIG/MAG welding
Experience with turning
Good drawing reading skills
Knowledge of measurement techniques and tolerances
Category B driver's license
Fluent Swedish, both spoken and written
It's great and a plus if you have:
Milling
TIG or stick welding
Assembly of machines or mechanical systems
Forklift certificate B1 (counterweight truck)
Robot welding or interest in automated production
Experience in smaller workshop or manufacturing companies where the role was broad
With us you get:
A long-term and varied role where you get significant influence and work broadly with technology, development, and improvement
Close collaboration with engaged colleagues in a technology-intensive company where every role makes a difference
A family-like workplace with short decision-making paths, open dialogue, and a culture characterized by respect, warmth, and work satisfaction
Does this sound like a work environment where you would thrive? Then we look forward to your application!
