Are you a practical problem-solver who thrives in a workshop environment and enjoys working with everything from sheet metal processing to machine building? We're looking for an experienced workshop technician/welder who wants to join our team and work with bending, rolling, stamping, and manual machining on lathes and mills. Here you'll have a varied day-to-day role where you both develop and further improve our machines and processes. Your Tasks As a workshop technician/welder with us, you'll have a broad, varied, and technically challenging role where you work with the entire chain from manufacturing and adaptation to service and further development of our components and machines. You'll be an important part of our workshop operations and be responsible for qualified sheet metal processing, mechanical work, and continuous improvements to our processes. The role requires high-level craftsmanship skills and the ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. Your main responsibilities: Welding of structures and components: You perform MIG/MAG and TIG welding according to drawings, tolerance requirements, and specifications. The work encompasses both simpler and more advanced welding tasks, including joining parts, repairs, and reinforcements. Sheet metal processing and forming: You work with bending, rolling, cutting, and stamping sheet metal in various dimensions. The work is done both manually and with machines, and you're responsible for ensuring accuracy and precision. Manual machining on lathes and mills: You use manual workshop machines to produce, adjust, or repair parts. This includes clamping, measuring, finishing, and quality control of finished components. Machine modifications and adaptations: You participate in projects where existing machines are rebuilt or modified to meet new needs. This could involve improving function, efficiency, and safety. This also includes designing special fixtures, assembly, and functional testing. Interpretation of drawings and technical documents: You work daily with drawings, dimensioning, tolerance specifications, and other technical documents. You ensure that work meets the correct quality and follows given specifications. Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs: You're responsible for ongoing maintenance of the workshop's machines and equipment. When operational problems occur, you perform troubleshooting, identify problems, and carry out necessary measures to minimize downtime. Continuous improvements and collaboration: You work closely with production, technicians, and other workshop colleagues to optimize workflows and develop processes. You contribute ideas, technical solutions, and improvement suggestions that strengthen quality, safety, and efficiency in the operation. Your Profile We're looking for you—a skilled and independent workshop technician/welder with a genuine interest in technology, mechanics, and practical craftsmanship. You thrive in a workshop environment, have a structured work approach, and take responsibility for completing your tasks with high precision and quality. You are: Thorough, quality-conscious, and confident working according to drawings, dimensional tolerances, and technical documents. A problem-solver who finds smart and practical solutions in manufacturing, repairs, and machine adaptations. Independent in your work and take responsibility for planning, prioritizing, and completing tasks. Collaboration-oriented and unpretentious, with an easy way of communicating and contributing in daily work together with colleagues in production and technology. Flexible and positive about a role with great variety where welding, sheet metal processing, and mechanical work are all included. You have: Experience with welding, preferably both MIG/MAG and TIG. Good knowledge of sheet metal processing such as bending, rolling, cutting, and stamping. Experience with manual machining on lathes and mills. Experience with mechanical work, machine service, or machine building. Good understanding of industrial manufacturing, mechanics, and safety procedures. Forklift certification with authority A1–A4 and B1–B4. About the Position The position is initially a consultant role with great potential for the customer to take you on permanently down the line. Working hours are Monday through Friday during daytime, which provides a stable and predictable work week.
