Job Description As an operations lawyer with a data protection focus, you will provide legal advice to the agency's management and other parts of the organization – primarily on matters concerning personal data processing. You will continuously provide legal support in change and development processes and contribute to legal governance within the agency. Your responsibilities include developing, revising, and monitoring internal governance documents in the data protection field. You will provide legal support in this area to other departments at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service headquarters and participate in projects where data protection legal expertise is required. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for monitoring developments in data protection and analyzing how regulatory changes and new practices in this field affect the agency's operations. You will prepare and present the agency's responses to consultations and develop proposals for statements to, among others, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection. Your work may also include preparing requests for legislative changes to the Government. Work as an operations lawyer with data protection focus is independent and varied. The role involves ongoing contact with, among others, the Government Offices, other agencies, and other parts of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. There are good opportunities for remote work of up to 60 percent depending on individual circumstances. Qualifications You are someone who works well with others by being attentive and communicative. In this role, you also work with complex matters, analyze and solve complicated problems. We are looking for someone who has: A law degree Notarial certification or other experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant Very strong ability to express yourself clearly in both speech and writing in Swedish It is also meritorious to have: Education in data protection Education in public access to information and confidentiality Judge training Experience with qualified investigative work on data protection matters Experience with qualified legal work on data protection matters at the Government Offices Experience working as an operations lawyer on data protection matters at another government agency or equivalent experience Experience working as a data protection officer Experience working with public access and confidentiality matters Experience working with IT law matters Experience working with AI law Experience working with digitalization Good knowledge of and understanding for digitalization and cybersecurity, including basic technical knowledge (systems and data flows, cloud, identity/access) NOTE!
