Krokoms Municipality consists of 17 preschools and 16 schools. Our facilities vary in size and character, creating a diverse work day with many contact points and opportunities for collaboration between operations. As a Facilities Manager with us, you'll have a broad and flexible role with great variety in your tasks. You'll work in an operation where you make a concrete difference every day and contribute to creating safe, well-functioning, and welcoming environments for children, students, and staff. The Children's and Education Administration has approximately 800 employees. The administration's operations span the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school grades F-9, adapted primary school, after-school care, catering and facilities maintenance, mother-tongue instruction, and library services. A Day as a Facilities Manager As a Facilities Manager, you'll primarily work in the southern parts of the municipality, responsible for service, maintenance, and upkeep of the area's schools and preschools. You'll have an important role in creating a safe, secure, and well-functioning environment for children, students, and staff. You'll also collaborate with other Facilities Managers in the municipality. The work is practical and varied—you independently take responsibility for identifying, prioritizing, and completing your tasks. You see what needs to be done and take initiative while having the ability to coordinate and collaborate with others when needed. Your responsibilities include: Addressing maintenance requests that come in through the municipality's case management system. Performing minor repairs and painting, assembly, and anchoring work. Identifying and addressing minor issues and deficiencies, and reporting problems when needed. Assembling, repairing, and repurposing furniture and equipment. Assisting with moving, furnishing, and refurnishing spaces. Managing recycling and waste. Collaborating with principals, educators, administrative staff, and external suppliers. Participating in planning and carrying out maintenance work during school breaks and holidays. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, and the position includes driving municipal service vehicles. Heavy lifting occurs, for example during moves and furnishing activities. Your Qualifications For this position, you must have: Experience working as a Facilities Manager or similar role, such as property maintenance technician, carpenter, tradesperson, or equivalent knowledge acquired through other means Driver's license category B It's advantageous if you also have: Education as a property maintenance technician, carpenter, tradesperson, or other relevant training for the role Experience managing and maintaining properties Strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Experience working in school and/or preschool settings Personal Qualities We're Looking For: As a person, you're solution-focused and skilled at finding practical and sustainable solutions to everyday challenges.
