The Management Support Department operates within the Citizen Services business area, which manages 122 service offices. Management Support is responsible for coordinating the business area's operations monitoring, business development, projects, systems support, internal communications, and competence development initiatives. The department also coordinates bilateral cooperation with the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Migration Agency, the Pensions Agency, and the Swedish Tax Agency. The department has 22 employees divided into two units: the Business Management Unit and the Development and Coordination Unit. The Business Management Unit includes project managers, investigators, and business development managers, while the Development and Coordination Unit includes business development managers, project managers, and administrators. The Business Management Unit's mandate includes working on issues related to AI, service presence, welfare fraud, digital inclusion, international coordination, environmental monitoring and analysis, and overarching strategies within the business area. We are now seeking two experienced business development managers who want to contribute to the transformation outlined in our strategic plan extending through 2030. The plan contains four development areas: our mission, service presence, equipment and development, and our employees. Working alongside engaged colleagues, you will have excellent opportunities to implement important changes and develop your own expertise. Main Responsibilities As a business development manager within the service center operations, you will lead and drive assignments, projects, or preliminary studies with the aim of developing local state services. The assignments are primarily operations-related but sometimes include elements of IT and technology development. You will work with the operations, other business development managers, project managers, investigators, and administrative managers within the department in close collaboration with support and management functions within the agency, as well as our cooperating agencies and sometimes other external stakeholders. If you lead projects, this will be done according to the PPS project management model. Qualifications We are seeking candidates who have: A relevant academic degree or equivalent education that the employer considers relevant for the position At least five years of experience as a business development manager within public sector operations or in a customer-facing organization Experience as a project manager, preliminary study leader, or assignment manager Experience working cross-functionally, close to operations, and with a holistic perspective Experience collaborating with other agencies or organizations with different objectives Competence in needs assessment, requirement specification, and benefit analysis and realization Experience with change management You should also have the following abilities: Be driven and results-oriented Build good cooperation with both internal and external parties Communicate information in a way that others understand Handle and be stimulated by having many different contact points Be organized and quickly grasp new issues Have strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire engagement in others It is an advantage if you have: Experience using AI tools to optimize operations Competence in environmental monitoring and analysis Experience working at a state agency Other Information The two positions are temporary contracts at 100% until February 28, 2027. One or both positions may be extended. We typically apply a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. The positions are based in Sundbyberg. The application deadline is June 22.
