The City Environment Division consists of three units, design & engineering, traffic and projects, with just over 60 employees with different backgrounds and expertise. Together we work interdisciplinarily with both long-term strategies and concrete implementation projects that contribute to a good and sustainable urban environment. You will become part of the division's management team consisting of three unit managers and one division manager.
Job Responsibilities
As a business development manager with us, you will become the division's strategic support and a central part of the division's management work. You are responsible for developing and coordinating the division's business management, follow-up and development work. In the role, you work closely with the division manager, unit managers and several central development functions and experts with many contact points throughout the entire city development administration.
You drive development and change initiatives and support the units in their development work. In the role you maintain the division's business planning, business follow-up and annual cycle, and work on developing processes, routines and working methods. You also support the units and their managers in planning and follow-up matters as well as in the implementation and application of new working methods and solutions. An important part of the assignment is also to contribute to the division's work with digitalization and business development.
The assignment also involves preparing matters for the division's management group, preparing supporting materials for the business and coordinating strategic development issues with other divisions and administrations. Through your many contact points, you contribute to creating good cooperation and development within the division and the city development administration as a whole.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has an academic education in, for example, urban development, political science, economics, public administration or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
You have experience working with business development, management, analysis or change work in a complex organization.
It is an advantage if you have experience from public activities and the urban development field.
For this role it is important that you:
- have good analytical ability and work structurally
- take initiative and are development-oriented
- communicate clearly and can make complex issues understandable
- can lead processes and create momentum without formal management responsibility
- have the ability to create cooperation between different operations and functions
To succeed in the role, you need to be self-driven and have good ability to cooperate. You are comfortable switching between strategic perspectives and practical implementation and thrive in a role with many contact points. You have the ability to create structure, coordinate different interests and drive issues forward, as well as a good understanding of how work is conducted in an organization with multiple stakeholders.
A driver's license for a car is a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
