As a Business Development Manager at the Finance Department in Sala, you'll step directly into the heart of a public organization. This is a brand new position that we're creating to invest extra in developing and streamlining processes – with the goal of creating more value for both the municipality's residents and operations. About the Workplace The position is centrally located in the Finance Department, which consists of 13 employees working with accounting and controlling. The department is part of the Municipal Management Office, along with other central support functions such as HR and administration. Responsibilities The focus of this work will be on creating efficient and legally sound financial processes with high quality, where it's easy for the municipality's managers and employees to do the right thing. In this role, you will, among other things, together with a project manager, be responsible for implementing a municipality-wide digital management system where all planning and monitoring for the financial area will take place. You will participate in implementing and building the management system according to the approved governance model and other governance documents. The role also includes system administration and continued development of the management system once it's in operation (object specialist). Additionally, you will be object manager for the Finance and Procurement object according to the PM3 model, which means you're responsible for planning and monitoring digitalization initiatives within the finance and procurement area, and participate in a municipality-wide group for coordinating digitalization matters. You'll be our driving force for business development within the financial area. You work closely with your colleagues in the Finance Department, managers, object specialists, and employees in the operations to create simpler, clearer, and more legally sound ways of working. You get to both help set the direction and ensure that changes actually happen in everyday work. • Design and further develop routines, processes, and guidelines within the financial area • Collaborate with controllers and operations managers to strengthen quality and legal compliance • Contribute to increased use of digital tools, automation, RPA, and AI where appropriate • Follow up on the effects of implemented changes and ensure sustainable implementation You'll become part of the department's controller group. As we're a smaller organization, we help each other in our daily work, which means that if needed, you may support and cover for colleagues during temporary absences, for example due to illness.
