About the Position
The authority's operations have complex financing and are largely financed with external funds. Projects are financed by various EU programs, Swedish authorities and research councils (Vinnova, the Environmental Protection Agency, Formas, etc.), and other partners. The Business Development Manager will primarily be responsible for developing externally financed projects together with the departments, but also serve as a methodological support for internal projects.
You will be part of our development function, which is part of the service and development unit within the operations support department. Here you will have colleagues who, like you, are driven by the desire to develop and change our operations in pace with the external environment.
You will work closely with department and unit managers, department controllers, and project managers. Central work tasks are to:
Guide, support, and coach steering committees, project managers, and operations managers.
Identify strategic project development areas and appropriate financing methods and share knowledge about the possibilities of external projects.
Provide support and serve as a sounding board for project applications to external funders.
Provide methodological support in the authority's various projects.
Conduct training and experience exchange among project managers.
We are always developing our operations and you therefore need to be open to your work tasks also changing over time.
Work Location: Gothenburg, Vänersborg, or Mariestad.
We offer flexible work with good opportunities for remote work part of the time. Travel is included in the position.
About You
We are looking for you who have:
A degree from a relevant post-secondary education of at least 120 higher education credits (equivalent to a 2-year vocational education).
Extensive experience in project development, particularly with external funders such as the EU, authorities, research councils, and foundations.
Good analytical skills and experience in translating needs into solutions.
Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English, as a large part of the work is conducted with international funders.
High IT proficiency is a given and you work seamlessly in different IT systems and in a Windows environment.
We would like to see that you have:
Experience from the public sector, preferably with knowledge of the state accounting model.
Experience with established methods in change management or project management (e.g., Lean, Agile, or similar).
