About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating existing ones, and expanding our operations. We are now seeking additional staff members. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the cycle of crime. When we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand facilities, and inmate transportation. The Section for Information Governance and Development is responsible for governance and development within the information management field. Our tasks include developing governing documents, providing advice and support during organizational changes, changes in work methods, and in the implementation or development of IT solutions. We are also responsible for the authority's process mapping. The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is facing major digitalization efforts and needs to improve information management efficiency to address the challenges we face. We therefore need to expand our section with additional business development specialists to meet the demand in this area. Job Description Your work will largely consist of participating in and/or leading various assignments and projects related to the development and digitalization of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's information management, on behalf of the section. You will help build structure, develop our work methods, and improve how we work with information, documentation, data quality, and regulatory compliance within the organization. You will also work on activities that create the conditions necessary for digitalization, the use of AI, and more. The work takes place in close collaboration with other business development specialists, management advisors, and archivists within the unit. You will also collaborate with other functions and operations within the authority. We are looking for someone who has: • Academic education in a field relevant to the position—social sciences, preferably information science or law—or equivalent competence acquired in another way that the employer deems equivalent • Current and many years of experience in governing and developing information management in a large organization • Experience with digitalization of analog business processes • Documented experience leading or driving assignments/teams or projects • Experience leading workshops or similar activities focused on improvement and/or change work • Very strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish • Good understanding of information architecture, metadata, information classification, and data quality It is also advantageous to have: • Certification in information management • Experience working with information architecture and information management • Experience in change management • Experience participating in the implementation of new IT systems for information, document, and case management • Experience in process development • Knowledge of modeling methodologies, primarily conceptual and information models • Familiarity with information governance models such as DAMA • Knowledge of the Swedish legal system Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to eliminate the cover letter and replaced it with selection questions relevant to the position.
