As an Operations Developer at NBV, you will have a special mission to develop and drive cultural activities aimed at seniors at meeting points and residential facilities. Through lectures, music, and other entertainment, you will create meaningful meeting places for a group that often struggles to access cultural events on their own. The goal is to prevent isolation and involuntary loneliness and reduce the risk of potential substance abuse by bringing people together through culture and social community.
A smaller part of the position also includes NBV's other adult education activities.
Your tasks
Book and conduct cultural events – music, lectures, etc. – at meeting points and residential facilities for seniors
Build and continuously develop our artist roster with new performers
Maintain ongoing contact with meeting points and residential facilities, book performances, and handle subsequent administration
Create posters and promote events, and ensure successful implementation on-site through our cultural coordinators
Handle administration related to the activities: invoicing, accounting, activity reporting, and project follow-up
Build relationships and collaborate with municipalities, senior organizations, and other actors working with the senior target group
On a smaller scale, also initiate and support activities within NBV's other focus areas
We are looking for you
You have an interest in and ideally a network within the cultural field
You are service-minded and enjoy close contact with both artists, meeting points/residential facilities, and partners
You have experience with budgeting in simple forms and basic financial thinking
You can present ideas in an inspiring way
You communicate fluently in spoken and written Swedish
You are comfortable using social media and creating simple marketing materials (e.g., posters)
Your qualities
You are creative, organized, and enjoy juggling multiple tasks at once – from contacting artists to handling invoices. The work is independent and goal-oriented, so you need to be good at organizing and prioritizing. Administration, budgeting, and finances are part of the job, and you need a B-driver's license to visit facilities.

Meritorious qualifications
Experience booking artists, organizing cultural events, or similar activities
Experience in adult education, volunteer work, or civil society
Experience working with projects and/or project applications
What can NBV offer you?
The position is located in Umeå. We offer an interim contract for 100%, initially for 10 months with possible extension. The position has an average of 38.5 hours per week and involves considerable freedom under responsibility as we use results-based working hours. Evening and weekend work occurs.
