The Department of Social Care is responsible for the municipality's activities in the disability sector, social psychiatry, and health and medical services for these target groups. The department has approximately 1,000 employees and 45 managers. The department is on a transformation journey toward the social services of the future. A changing environment and new needs require us to adapt and develop how we work. Through new and creative solutions, we build operations that function well, are sustainable over time, and meet both today's and tomorrow's needs. The goal is to strengthen the quality of what we do for those we exist to serve. About the Role The Quality and Development function is one of four support functions within the Department of Social Care. We are now expanding the work team, which currently consists of twelve employees. Together, we support and drive the development of the department's operations. Here you will work on varied and developmental issues alongside knowledgeable and engaged colleagues. The assignments range from strategic and long-term development work to concrete changes that need to be implemented in operations. We work independently in our assignments, but closely together in our daily work. We share knowledge, test ideas together, and use each other's expertise when issues require different perspectives. The position is based at Bryggaregatan 15 in central Borås, with good bus and train connections via Resecentrum. There is also the possibility to work remotely during parts of your working time. Responsibilities In this role, you work to create a meaningful and high-quality daily life for our service users. Through a health-promoting and educational approach, with a focus on health, nutrition, and well-being, among other things, you contribute to a good quality of life for each individual. In this role, you receive an independent and strategic assignment with a great opportunity to contribute to the organization's work on continuous improvement. You become an important link between current knowledge, legislation, the external environment, and the organization's practical daily operations, and you translate this into sustainable working methods that strengthen quality for those we serve. You work closely with managers, support educators, and other professionals and serve as qualified support in development and change work. You identify needs, initiate and drive improvement work, and follow up on results and effects. A central part of the role is to monitor external developments and stay updated in preventive work, educational methods, health, research, and relevant legislation—and to translate new knowledge and changed requirements into practical benefits in the organization. You also have special responsibility for coordinating the support educator network. The assignment includes, among other things: guiding and providing methodological support to managers and support educators on educational issues and in development and change work supporting analysis, follow-up, and improvement of the organization's quality and results responsibility for and coordination of training initiatives in, for example, conduct, communication, nutrition, and VIP work providing support in work with implementation plans, health conversations, and social documentation contributing to common structures and working methods for quality work, documentation, and follow-up using, for example, service user surveys and questionnaires as a basis for data-driven and knowledge-based organizational development The role suits you if you enjoy taking personal responsibility, working strategically, and at the same time want to be close to operations. Qualifications We are looking for someone with an academic degree that the employer considers appropriate, for example in social work, health, or social sciences. To succeed with this assignment, you need knowledge of different functional variations and their consequences, and be well-versed in methods for evidence-based practice in our operations. You need to have experience working with our target groups based on the legislation that regulates the operations. We also see that you have experience working in a politically governed organization and preferably from social services. You are accustomed to working with quality issues and have a development-oriented working approach as well as the ability to create engagement and participation. You stay updated in the field and contribute with a current external perspective. As a person, you take initiative and drive your work forward while being able to plan, prioritize, and make your own assessments. You have the ability to see the whole picture, structure and analyze information, identify what is essential, and translate knowledge and ideas into concrete working methods. You communicate information clearly and pedagogically by adapting your communication to the audience and context. You are responsive to the organization's needs and a trustworthy and knowledgeable collaboration partner. You have a coaching and supportive approach and can guide managers and employees.
