The role of Operations Development Manager
As an Operations Development Manager at the Department of Surgery, you drive development work that strengthens quality, patient safety, and efficient care processes. The role involves close collaboration with various professionals in the department to identify areas for improvement, lead process work, and contribute to sustainable and modern surgical care.
The role includes responsibility for:
• initiating, driving, implementing, and coordinating both operational and strategic quality work in accordance with the business plan
• monitoring patient safety work and supporting work with risk and incident analyses
• actively integrating the department's work with capacity and production management in all development and improvement work
• continuously monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating the goals, metrics, and activities established in Stratsys and being responsible for reporting, communication, and analysis of these in the management group and in staff forums
• investigating and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data in close dialogue with the department
• being responsible for developing strategic procedures and policies according to the needs of the department and in accordance with laws, regulations, and guidelines at both national and regional levels
• being responsible for work related to digitalization and implementation of this in the department
The role reports to the Operations Director and works closely with clinic leadership, unit managers, and medical management leads, and participates in the management group. You have a clear mandate to initiate and lead improvement work across the entire clinic on behalf of the management group. You represent the clinic and participate in regional process work. As an Operations Development Manager, you are also responsible for environmental monitoring and development within the field and drive, on assignment, development issues that may be prioritized for the Department of Surgery. A prioritized area is to strengthen the Department of Surgery's process work between our three hospitals.
You will be part of a network of Operations Development Managers led by the Development Director for surgical care as a whole.

The Department of Surgery is a regional clinic with operations at Höglandssjukhuset in Eksjö, Länssjukhuset Ryhov in Jönköping, and at Värnamo Hospital. Organizationally, the Department of Surgery belongs to the Surgical Care business area within Region Jönköping County.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with previous experience in operations development who wants stimulating and developmental work tasks. You need to have previous education and experience in operations development, improvement work, and process management. Knowledge of statistics and the ability to analyze material are requirements for the position.
The position is permanent on a full-time basis within your base profession with an appointment as Operations Development Manager.
As a person, you need to be organized, have good collaboration skills, and have the drive to lead operations development in a larger clinic.
A driver's license is required for the position.
