Are you an experienced HR partner who wants to work close to operations and contribute to real change in a complex and socially critical organization?
At Karolinska University Hospital, you will have a central role in developing HR approaches, structures, and processes together with managers and leadership groups that strengthen the conditions for care – in line with Karolinska's vision: We shall cure and alleviate tomorrow what no one can cure and alleviate today.
What we offer you
To become part of Karolinska's HR department, which consists of over 90 employees with broad expertise and strong commitment.
An inspiring and professional work environment where your expertise and commitment contribute to further developing structures, approaches, and efficiency to support care operations across different parts of the hospital.
Good opportunities for long-term development within the HR profession as well as the opportunity to contribute to hospital-wide development and improvement work within HR.
Of course, you will also benefit from our general benefits that Karolinska University Hospital offers you.
About the position
Karolinska University Hospital is one of Europe's largest university hospitals with approximately 16,000 employees. The HR department consists of several different support functions, including operations-focused HR partners, HR support, recruitment, and specialist functions.
As an operations-focused HR partner at Karolinska University Hospital, you are an integrated part of the operations and work in close collaboration with the managers and leadership groups you support. Together with managers within the care operations you are responsible for, you drive continuous improvement work in line with our vision: We shall cure and alleviate tomorrow what no one can cure and alleviate today.
You work as an HR partner close to operations, advising managers and providing support in both operational and strategic HR matters. The role also includes contributing to the development of HR processes and approaches.
The work pace is periodically high and the role involves handling several parallel issues and projects that need to be driven, structured, and followed up. As an HR partner with us, you operate in an organization that runs 24 hours a day, where conditions can change rapidly and new needs can arise with short notice. To thrive and succeed in the role, you therefore need to be flexible, able to reprioritize when necessary, and quickly adapt to new conditions.
You will be part of one of Karolinska's HR teams, where HR partners are divided into three clusters. Within the cluster, you collaborate closely on common issues and projects, while there are good opportunities for experience exchange and collaboration with HR partners in the other clusters.
We work in newly built and modern office environments in Solna and Huddinge.
We are looking for someone who
Is a confident HR partner who enjoys the breadth of the assignment and balancing operational and strategic work based on the needs of operations.
Has the ability to adapt your working style through flexible problem-solving and clear, trust-building communication – even in challenging situations.
Has good analytical ability and can quickly immerse yourself in new issues and contexts.
Has a development-oriented approach and the ability to identify improvement opportunities and new perspectives to develop both yourself and HR's roles and approaches.
Has the will and ability to initiate and drive development work within HR, both in close collaboration with specific operations and from an organization-wide perspective.
The role involves many contact points, so to thrive it is important that you enjoy collaboration, are service-oriented, and willingly share your knowledge.
