At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work on one of our time's major societal issues – migration. In total, we are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
We are now seeking an Operations Expert for the case distribution units. The case distribution units' mission consists of handling incoming mail, digitalizing documents and applications that arrive in Sweden from foreign authorities and from private individuals. The applications and documents that arrive are examined, assessed, and digitalized so that they can then be handled further by our colleagues at the various permit and asylum units throughout the country. The work is carried out within most of the agency's processes and case management systems. We now see a need for an operations expert for the assignment based on the agency's mandate, overarching goals and strategy to work with the development and monitoring of operations.
Job Responsibilities
As an Operations Expert at the case distribution units, you will perform planning, coordination, analysis, and forecasting work within the area. You will independently drive development work and identify needs from other operations based on a holistic perspective.
You will work with qualitative and quantitative monitoring, establish action plans, issue statements and responses to consultation requests, and prepare matters for decision. Furthermore, you will support managers and team leaders in strategic analysis and improvement work within the operations. Based on statistics, investigations, reports, and other monitoring, you will analyze results and developments in the operations. You will answer questions internally and externally, support the operations in methodological and substantive matters, and maintain, obtain, and disseminate knowledge within the subject area. Another central task is collaboration, cooperation, and monitoring of developments in the field.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who is a good representative for the Swedish Migration Agency and for the assignment. You thrive in a changing operation and adapt easily to new conditions. You are self-driving and take responsibility for advancing your work, while you are also initiative-taking and see opportunities for development and improvements. Furthermore, you have the ability to analyze complex matters, identify relevant connections, and make well-founded assessments. You work in a structured manner with a focus on quality, ensuring that work maintains high quality and is conducted in a legally secure and efficient manner. You also have good holistic perspective and can weigh different perspectives to prioritize what creates the greatest value for the operations. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently and meet set timeframes. You have good collaboration skills and build trusting relationships through listening, communicating, and contributing to good cooperation. You value working in an environment where we work together to perform our tasks and assignments.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and strong security and confidentiality awareness.
You who are applying have:
- Academic education of 180 credits with legal, social science, or behavioral science focus or other education combined with relevant and current experience
