At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of our time's major societal issues – migration. We are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job! We are now seeking an Operations Expert for the case distribution units. The case distribution units' mission consists of handling incoming mail, digitizing documents and applications that arrive in Sweden from foreign authorities and from individuals. The applications and documents that arrive are reviewed, assessed, and digitized so they can then be handled further by our colleagues at the various permit and asylum units throughout the country. The work is performed within most of the agency's processes and case management systems. We now see a need for an operations expert for this assignment based on the agency's mission, overarching goals, and strategy to work with development and monitoring of operations. Job Duties As an Operations Expert at the case distribution units, you will perform planning, coordination, analysis, and forecasting work within the field. You drive development work independently and capture needs from the rest of the organization from a holistic perspective. You will work with qualitative and quantitative monitoring, establish action plans, statements, and responses to referrals, as well as prepare matters for decision. Furthermore, you will support managers and team leaders in strategic analysis and improvement work within operations. Based on statistics, investigations, reports, and other monitoring, you analyze results and developments in operations. You answer questions internally and externally, support the organization in methodological and substantive matters, and maintain, gather, and disseminate knowledge within your area of expertise. Another central task is collaboration, coordination, and environmental monitoring of the field. Who Are You? In our work as civil servants, high standards of judgment and strong security and confidentiality awareness are also required. You who are applying have: - Academic education of 180 credits with legal, social science, or behavioral science orientation or other education combined with relevant and current experience - Current experience with analysis, methodology development, change management, and monitoring within public sector operations - Very good communication skills and express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English It is meritorious if you have: - Experience in coordination and implementation of work methods and methodologies - Experience supporting managers and leaders in strategic analysis and improvement work - Current experience working at a government agency - Broad experience and good knowledge of the Swedish Migration Agency's mission, operations, and processes Information Employment Form: Permanent position with probation Working Hours: Office hours or flexible hours by agreement Location: Stockholm or Umeå Start Date: As soon as possible by agreement We apply individual salary setting.
