Role Description As a business controller at Vinnova, you will contribute to ensuring that public funds are used correctly and efficiently to strengthen Sweden's innovation capacity. You will have an important role in supporting the organization with financial matters related to our financed projects. You will be part of the legal unit, which consists of seven lawyers and two business controllers. You will work with quality assurance and review of grant recipients and contribute to developing the agency's working methods in this area. The position involves both independent work and collaboration with colleagues in your own unit and other parts of the organization. Main responsibilities: Support to operations on matters concerning project budgeting, eligible expenses, interpretation of credit reports, and financial reporting Information initiatives, both internally and externally Proactive quality assurance work Review of grant recipients, primarily regarding project costs Reporting of state aid Development of working methods and tools in the field Qualification Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics from a university or college. Experience: At least two years of professional experience in auditing, financial monitoring, financial review, or accounting. Knowledge: Good knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping rules, and accounting systems. Good skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Meritorious qualifications: It is meritorious if you have professional experience in: Analysis and assessment of organizations' financial position, creditworthiness, or financial risks. Risk-based auditing and audit methods. Data analysis and visualization tools, such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, or equivalent. Project economics in grant-financed projects. Auditing, financial monitoring, financial review, or accounting related to both small and large enterprises. Reporting or other work regarding state aid. Preventing, identifying, or investigating financial irregularities and incorrect payments. Business development.
