JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Welfare Sector is looking for someone who wants to lead an operation in constant development. As Operations Manager for Care and Welfare, you will have an exciting and important role in our organization. As Operations Manager, you report directly to the Sector Manager for Welfare/Social Manager and are part of the Welfare Sector's management team. You have personnel responsibility for the municipality's unit managers within elderly care, nursing and rehabilitation, and LSS and psychiatry. Together with the Medically Responsible Nurse (MAS) and Medically Responsible Rehabilitation Manager (MAR), you ensure that the municipality's care and welfare services are provided with high quality and in accordance with applicable legislation. In your role, you are responsible for leading, coordinating, and developing the municipality's care and welfare services. You work strategically and operatively with a focus on quality care, patient safety, operational development, and financial sustainability. Your responsibilities include: • Lead, coordinate, and develop the municipality's care and welfare services. • Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, political goals, and established quality requirements. • Ensure that the municipality's care and welfare services maintain high quality throughout the municipality in close collaboration with MAS/MAR and ensure compliance with MAS/MAR directives. • Manage budget, financial follow-up, and resource planning. • Drive development and change initiatives to meet future needs and create sustainable long-term operations. • Lead, delegate, and follow up on work within the unit manager group and create favorable conditions for employee development and work environment. • Provide support to unit managers and MAS/MAR on complex care-related issues and incidents. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create efficient working methods and good quality. • Contribute to the Welfare Sector's strategic development as a member of the management team. QUALIFICATIONS For this position, you must have a relevant university or college degree in healthcare, for example with a license as a nurse, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist, and a class B driver's license. You work based on trust, strategically, and create conditions for others to succeed and develop. You are communicative and relationship-building and contribute to a non-pretentious environment that promotes good cooperation and an open and well-functioning flow of information between employees, managers, and leadership. At the same time, it is important that you have a structured working method and have a good ability to prioritize both your own work and that of others when needed. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. It is further advantageous if you have: • Experience working in the healthcare sector, preferably in the municipal sector. • Experience in management or leadership positions. • Experience with budget responsibility and financial management. • Good knowledge of relevant legislation.
