The Adult Psychiatry operations area provides specialized psychiatric care to adults throughout Region Gävleborg. We provide 24-hour care at two locations and have several outpatient clinics throughout the region, with approximately 500 dedicated employees. We also have mobile services and a strong focus on development and transition to quality care delivered close to patients. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As Operations Manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, finances, work environment, personnel, and patient safety within adult psychiatry. You lead the operation through your care unit managers and play a central role in driving development, implementing changes, and creating conditions for high-quality care. The operation faces several important development areas, including implementing comorbidity investigations and continued development of new working methods such as SPOT teams. The assignment includes translating strategic goals into concrete results and ensuring that the operation develops based on patient needs, the operation's mandate, and Region Gävleborg's overall goals and direction. You lead a management group consisting of approximately 20 care unit managers and receive support from, among others, an assistant operations manager, medical advisor, chief physician, patient safety function, HR partner, and economist. Collaboration is an important part of the assignment. You work closely with other healthcare operations, primary care, municipalities, patients, and patient organizations to create integrated care pathways and good conditions for our patients. An important part of the assignment is also creating conditions for a good work environment. With experience in the psychiatry field, you understand the operation's conditions and the demands placed on modern specialist psychiatry. You have the ability to create engagement, build trusting relationships, and lead organizations through change and development. You are accustomed to working with complex issues, making well-founded decisions, and seeing the operation as a whole. Through communicative and engaged leadership, you create clear goals, direction, and conditions for managers and employees to succeed. You have a strong focus on quality, patient safety, and sustainable results and see the value of collaboration both within and outside your own operation. The position requires • higher education with a healthcare focus or other higher education combined with work experience that the employer deems equivalent • documented extensive experience leading managers in larger operations • work experience in the psychiatry field • experience with change management in larger, complex operations.
