About Us Region Blekinge's Medical Technology Department (MTA) consists of 20 employees responsible for the region's medical technology equipment and operations. We also represent the region on medical technology matters at the national level, in investigations, and as a referral authority. We conduct operations in Karlskrona and Karlshamn, with MTA staff located at both sites. Work may also occur at other locations where, for example, health centers are located throughout Blekinge. About the Position As Operations Manager/Medical Technology Manager, you will have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, finances, and results. You will manage the Medical Technology Department's 20 employees. The team consists of engineers, technicians, medical technology coordinators, and quality coordinators. As a manager, you will lead and develop operations based on the goals, processes, and financial frameworks provided. We expect you to work toward an efficient, high-quality, and attractive operation with a sustainable and stimulating work environment for your employees. The role includes responsibility for medical technology investments, and you have authority to conduct procurements up to the threshold for direct procurement. You will maintain ongoing contact with healthcare and its need for support, and you will develop the department's work in line with medical technology developments. You will be part of the management team for Medical Services and represent Medical Technology in other relevant forums. You will represent Region Blekinge on medical technology matters at the national level with other regions and authorities. Representation also occurs in connection with national medical technology matters, investigations, and as a referral authority. Within the Emergency and Service Division, a reorganization is currently underway, which means the position currently also includes operational responsibility for the Assistive Devices Center. About You We are looking for someone with higher education in medical technology, IT, or other education and qualifications that the employer considers equivalent. You have professional experience in medical technology and knowledge of processes related to procurement and requirements in this field. Experience in managing personnel, finances, and operations is a merit.
