Operations Manager for Meal Services

About the Position We are looking for someone who wants to lead the journey toward an even more climate-smart operation that offers guests and customers a dining experience characterized by high quality and excellent service. Meal services currently operate within 3 different departments and are a recurring part of Örebro residents' daily lives. As operations manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel within your area of responsibility and are part of the department director's management team alongside other operations managers. Your role includes leading and supporting employees and subordinate managers. You work from a holistic perspective and make independent decisions within your area of responsibility. You are expected to be responsible for continuous environmental monitoring in your area and collaborate with trade unions and other internal and external parties. The operation is in the midst of exciting development toward a full-time organization but also faces challenges related to demographic changes. Work is also underway to increase crisis preparedness, which requires an operation equipped for changed working methods and a willingness to develop to meet future challenges and needs. The operation's 260 employees work in 58 kitchens throughout Örebro Municipality.
