We are now seeking an Operations Director for Innovatum Science Center A unique leadership role in Western Sweden for someone who wants to develop a public knowledge and experience arena where learning, technology, cultural heritage, and societal development meet! Innovatum Science Center AB is seeking an Operations Director who, through strategic leadership, strong execution power, and great commitment, wants to lead and develop the operations into the future. Here you will have comprehensive responsibility for operations with clear societal relevance, where the mission is to spark curiosity, strengthen confidence in the future, and help more children and young people find paths into technology, natural sciences, and sustainable development. The role suits you if you have personal authority, create trusting relationships, and can translate ambitions into strategy, financing, collaboration, and concrete results. About the Role Innovatum Science Center has a clear societal mission and operates under a service agreement with Trollhättan City and operational support from the Western Sweden Region's Culture Committee and Regional Development Committee. As Operations Director for Innovatum Science Center, you are responsible for holding together and developing the various parts of the operations – from exhibitions, educational environments, and visitor experiences to cultural heritage, external projects, and strategic partnerships. The assignment involves creating direction, coordination, and momentum in an operation with many contact points and great societal relevance. The role also involves representing Innovatum Science Center in close collaboration with operations in the surrounding environment, such as the Saab Car Museum, as well as with Trollhättan City, Western Sweden Region, and other relevant partners. Through long-term relationships, active collaboration, and proactive work, you strengthen the operation's position and develop conditions for partnerships, financing, and continued development. In a regional, national, and international context, the operation contributes to workforce development, confidence in the future, and sustainable development – with technology, natural sciences, learning, and cultural heritage as important driving forces. Internally, you build trust, pride, and commitment and create an organization where people want to, can, and have the conditions to contribute to continued development. You report to the CEO and have overall management responsibility. You lead through managers and key functions and drive the management group's work on priorities, finances, follow-up, coordination, and shared direction. Who Are We Looking For? Your Background We are looking for someone with experience leading people, operations, and development in complex contexts. You are confident in creating direction, driving change, and representing an operation with many contact points. For the role, we want you to have: a relevant academic degree experience leading strategic work from vision to implementation experience leading employees and groups experience building long-term external relationships and collaborations with links to financing and partnerships ability to communicate and represent an operation to different audiences – internally, in meetings with partners, and in other external contexts experience from public sector operations experience with budget processes, reporting, and work with boards or equivalent decision-making levels It is meritious if you also have: experience working closely with academia experience with leadership in ideologically-based or nonprofit sectors an established network in Western Sweden, for example within the public sector, academia, industry, or regional development geographic proximity that allows you to be on-site at the operation much of the time The position is a permanent full-time employment in Trollhättan.
