Digitalization IT and MT Administration is Region Skåne's strategic digitalization partner. We are seeking an operations manager for one of our five operational areas—a key role for someone who wants to lead and develop a modern and mission-critical IT operation. Together, we create the conditions for an accessible, secure, and sustainable digital development that makes a real difference for the residents of Skåne. The Infrastructure and IT Security operational area consists of five units with more than 60 employees responsible for developing, managing, and delivering modern IT platforms to all of Region Skåne. The operation ensures cohesive, regional, and mission-critical IT operations in areas such as infrastructure, telephony, and communication systems, as well as the digital workplace. The operational area also holds overall responsibility for Region Skåne's cybersecurity, including monitoring and managing security incidents, changes, and continuity in mission-critical solutions. The area is responsible for ensuring that IT solutions are accessible, scalable, and adapted to operational needs. The operational area is also responsible for Region Skåne's IT preparedness function, a central function to ensure responsiveness and stability during serious IT-related incidents. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As operations manager, you report directly to the administration head (CIO) within Digitalization IT and MT and are an important part of the administration's management team. In your role, you have overall responsibility for operations, budget, and personnel, and you lead a team of competent and engaged unit managers. As a manager leading other managers, you are responsible for your entire operation's results. You create success in your assignment through your direct reports, whose leadership you value highly and prioritize developing further. Together with your management team, you develop the operation. You translate strategy into action, coordinate workflows, promote collaboration internally and externally, and communicate visions, goals, and strategies, leading development and change initiatives long-term with a focus on creating value for those we serve. As operations manager, you are expected to: • Establish appropriate working methods, processes, and forums together with the unit managers for your operational area • Participate in administration-wide initiatives and be a clear team player • Contribute strong domain expertise within IT infrastructure and cybersecurity and the structures required to manage and improve deliveries and commitments • Maintain and develop supplier relationships and work actively with contract matters and requirements • Be a member and actively driving force in management and steering groups • Lead, inspire, coach, and develop your employees • Be a strong values advocate and actively work with culture, leadership, and communication QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with relevant higher education in IT or other education and work experience that the employer deems relevant for the position. We see that you have documented knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity. You have experience managing digital solutions and platforms from a lifecycle perspective. Experience leading, developing, or implementing complex processes and projects within IT is a merit. We work structurally with the management and development of our IT solutions, and we would like to see that you have experience with ITIL or equivalent frameworks. Further, you have experience from similar positions with management responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances, preferably with experience managing other managers. We would also like to see that you have leadership training and experience with workplace environment work, change management, and understanding of collaboration agreements and forums with union representatives. To succeed in the role, you need attentive listening, patience, good collaboration skills, and understanding of operations outside your assignment.
