About Us
The Assistive Technology Center operates on behalf of the Collaboration Board, which includes politicians from the region's five municipalities and Region Blekinge.
The operation's mission is to ensure that residents of the region are offered high-quality assistive technology provision on equal terms, so they can live as independently and healthily as possible. The mission is regulated by a collaboration agreement signed between the region's five municipalities and Region Blekinge.
The Assistive Technology Center consists of approximately 60 employees distributed across three departments. The team possesses broad expertise in both medical and technical areas. The operation's mission encompasses everything from procurement, purchasing, assembly, refurbishment and delivery of assistive devices, to conducting market surveillance, training and offering consultation services.
The Assistive Technology Center is organizationally part of Region Blekinge but receives its assignments from the Collaboration Board.
About the Job
As Operations Manager, you lead the operation through your three department managers and have overall responsibility for quality, finances, work environment and operational development.
You are expected to work at a strategic level, see the bigger picture and create good collaboration with the region's five municipalities and Region Blekinge. You are also expected to be an active participant in the national assistive technology managers' network.
You work closely with the Collaboration Board, from which you receive your assignments.
You report to the Division Manager for the Acute and Service Division and participate in the Division Manager's operations managers group.
About You
We are seeking an experienced leader who combines strategic perspective with a genuine interest in people and operations. Your role is to see the whole picture, provide direction and make values-based decisions.
You are confident in your leadership and possess the ability to engage, create participation and build strong relationships both within your own organization and with colleagues, politicians, union representatives and external partners.
To succeed in this assignment, you should have:
Education in economics or logistics, or other education combined with relevant experience that the employer deems equivalent.
Documented experience in strategic management, operational development and change management
Multiple years of management experience with budget, personnel and operational responsibility, as well as experience from management group work.
Category B driving license
It is an asset if you have:
Experience leading in a politically governed organization.
Experience managing other managers
The role also requires that you are communicative and skilled at creating trusting and long-term relationships, both internally and externally. You have an approach characterized by forward-thinking and unpretentiousness, and your leadership is characterized by trust and confidence.
