Your Workplace Medical Imaging and Functional Diagnostics is a central part of Region Värmland's healthcare services. Your Responsibilities As Operations Director, you have overall responsibility for the operations' finances, personnel, and development. You lead the work through your management team and are the direct manager for the operations' unit managers. You report directly to the Area Director for Medical Diagnostics and Services and contribute to the region's strategic development and overall results as part of the area management. You are responsible for driving and developing the Medical Imaging and Functional Diagnostics operations and ensure that patient needs and healthcare workflows are at the center. In your role, you are also expected to actively promote workforce development and drive improvement initiatives that strengthen quality and efficiency. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for someone with academic education in healthcare or equivalent education as assessed by the employer. You have documented leadership experience, preferably in a larger organization. You have previously worked with operations development and change management and have a good understanding of navigating a politically governed organization. It is a merit if you have experience within radiology or clinical physiology. You are confident in your leadership and have a clear and communicative style. As a person, you are responsive, unpretentious, and engaging, with a natural ability to build collaborations both internally and externally. To succeed in this role, high integrity, courage, and drive to lead the operations toward region-wide goals are required.
