The anesthesia operations area has a regional mandate covering both emergency and planned specialty care. • Anesthesia, operating, and sterile goods operations as well as postoperative care in Gävle and Hudiksvall • Intensive care including follow-up clinics in Gävle and Hudiksvall • Pain management in Gävle with a branch in Söderhamn • In collaboration with ambulance services, we staff the secondary transport line 24/7 with anesthesia nursing expertise for inter-hospital ambulance transfers. Within anesthesia, physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, sterile technicians, and administrators work together. Together we form a team of over 400 people. We are now seeking an engaged and strategic operations manager who wants to lead and develop our complex anesthesia operations. As operations manager, you will have a key role in ensuring high-quality and efficient anesthesia care while driving development, innovation, and improvement work together with the staff. 1 position(s). DUTIES As operations manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, staff, finances, and work environment. You lead the operations based on the organization's goals and ensure that care is provided with high quality, good accessibility, and a clear patient focus. You lead your own management team of approximately 20 care unit managers, with focus on development within the scope of the operations' mandate. To succeed in the role, you need the ability to lead through others and to provide the best possible conditions for your immediate colleagues to perform their tasks and achieve their goals. You decide on the distribution of responsibility and tasks between yourself and your two assistant operations managers. You report to the Assistant Director of Health and Medical Care. Anesthesia, like other health and medical care in Region Gävleborg, is in an exciting and challenging phase of organizing and meeting future care needs in the best way. In this work, you will have a driving role in initiating and developing methods, processes, and collaboration and care pathways together with internal and external care providers. To succeed in the role, we require • Academic education in health and medical care • Experience leading managers • Experience with budget, personnel, and operations responsibility • Good knowledge of health and medical care governance and quality work • Experience with change management and operations development • Good communicative ability in Swedish, both written and spoken. It is advantageous if you have a medical license and/or experience from anesthesia, operating, or intensive care operations.
