JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As Operations Manager, you are responsible for the Special Housing and Short-Term Care operational area. The role encompasses operational development, personnel, work environment, quality, finances, and organization within the allocated budget and politically determined goals. You have overall management responsibility for the municipality's special housing facilities and short-term services. Through subordinate unit managers, you lead, develop, and monitor operations with a focus on quality, user benefit, and sound financial management. The operations face important future challenges related to workforce development, demographic changes, welfare technology, and changing needs among the elderly. You are expected to be a driving force in operational development and create conditions for modern, sustainable, and person-centered elderly care. As Operations Manager, you have overall responsibility for everything related to the operations and are expected, based on political decisions, to be a driving force in operational development. You work at a strategic level and contribute to developing both the operational area and the sector as a whole. You are part of the Social Services Sector's management group together with the Sector Manager and other Operations Managers. You also lead your own management group consisting of unit managers. In addition to responsibility for your operational area, you are expected to actively contribute to the entire sector's development through collaboration, holistic perspective, and strategic leadership. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a confident, clear, and strategic leader with the ability to achieve results through others. As a person, you are stable, unpretentious, and have high personal maturity. The ability to create a good work climate, inspire others, and translate goals into results are some of your strengths. You have communicative leadership and create conditions for participation, accountability, and development. Qualifications: • hold a university degree in healthcare, social work, or other education that the employer deems relevant • have experience in a management position • have good administrative and organizational abilities • have experience with budget responsibility and financial management • have experience with change and development work • have good analytical ability and a strategic holistic perspective • have a strong ability to collaborate and build trusting relationships Particularly valuable qualifications include: • experience from elderly care or related operational areas • experience leading through subordinate managers in larger or complex organizations • experience successfully driving development work • documented ability to develop management groups and translate strategic goals into concrete operational results As a manager, you can prioritize, make decisions, and take responsibility even in complex situations. You have the ability to balance the operations' need for quality, work environment, and finances, as well as create conditions for sustainable leadership at all levels.
