The Operations Manager Role
We are now seeking an operations manager who wants to contribute to the continued development of Samhall, one of Sweden's most important companies. The operations manager will be part of Region North, which is organized into five districts, and we are now seeking our next operations manager for the Östergötland/Södermanland/Gotland district, based in Norrköping.
As an operations manager, you will have significant responsibility with varied tasks, leading and developing your operational area in line with the company's established goals. You will be one of two operations managers in Norrköping, overseeing an area with approximately 350 employees. You will lead approximately 13-14 first-line managers and hold responsibility for results and personnel management of your operational area. Your responsibilities include developing business and operational assignments through strong relationships and business development acumen, organizing and creating conditions to achieve established goals, and leading and coaching your direct-reporting area managers.
You will be part of the district management team with nine other operations managers and three supporting roles. You will report to the district manager.
As an operations manager, you are a secure and clear leader with extensive knowledge of leading operational activities across various service delivery areas with many people involved. You understand the importance of creating and maintaining service delivery stability for customers and are involved, clear, and accessible to the managers you oversee.
You will have significant responsibility with varied tasks aimed at creating good profitability and developing business relationships with new and existing customers, thereby enabling professional development for approximately 350 employees referred by the Swedish Public Employment Service to develop their work capacity.
As a person, you are/have:
Engaged, reliable, and attentive
Experience leading other managers and driving change initiatives in complex situations
Experience in operational activities with service delivery to multiple customers
Development-oriented with strong ability to adapt your work approach to change
The ability to act both strategically and operatively
Comfortable building relationships and skilled at developing strong relationships, both internally and externally
Strong knowledge of economics in relation to customer deliverables
Genuinely interested in people's capacity for development and comfortable working with different personality types
Valid driver's license (Category B)
