To succeed, we need to develop our working methods, use our resources wisely, and maintain quality, legal certainty, and trust. We are now seeking an Operations Manager for In-Home Services. This is an assignment for you who want to lead the development of future healthcare and care in Strömstad. In-Home Services encompasses home care, home healthcare, rehabilitation, personal assistance, and residential support. These are operations that affect many people every day and are crucial for the ability to live a good life in one's own home. The Social Services Department has approximately 500 employees and is organized into three operational areas: In-Home Services, Housing and Day Activities, and Individual and Family Care. The department also has a staff unit and a staffing unit, whose manager is part of the department management. As Operations Manager, you are part of the department management and report directly to the Social Services Director. 1 position(s). DUTIES The operational area encompasses home care, home healthcare, rehabilitation, personal assistance, and residential support. As Operations Manager, you are responsible for operational development, financial management, quality development, work environment, and competency planning within your operational area. You lead the operation through seven unit managers and also have direct management responsibility for seven employees with assignments in preventive work and digital tools within care services. In this role, you are part of the Social Services Department's management team and are expected to contribute to the entire department's development. You need to be able to translate political decisions and strategic goals into concrete operations, create structure in complex contexts, and maintain direction while making wise priorities when multiple perspectives need to be weighed. You need to be able to switch between strategic and operational perspectives without losing focus on the assignment or long-term direction. You work proactively and have the ability to stay one step ahead. You identify needs and challenges in time, create conditions for sustainable solutions, and drive development that produces results over time. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with relevant academic education and several years of management and leadership experience, preferably leading through other managers. You have experience from healthcare and care services or healthcare and nursing, as well as a good understanding of leading operations in a politically governed organization. You are a confident and experienced leader who combines strategic thinking with strong implementation capability. You are goal and results-oriented, have experience with change management, and work proactively by identifying needs and challenges before they become acute. You see connections, think long-term, and translate goals and strategies into concrete operational development. You create structure, direction, and work calm even when circumstances change or multiple perspectives need to be weighed. You make decisions, make wise priorities, and take responsibility for ensuring decisions are implemented. At the same time, you have the ability to persist and endure when change work takes time. You have a strong employer perspective and take responsibility for both your own operational area and the department as a whole. You understand the connection between quality, results, and economics and use the operation's resources responsibly and in a long-term sustainable way. Collaboration is a natural part of your leadership and you build trusting relationships that create engagement and shared direction.
