The position is located within the Social Services Administration, which is one of eight departments in the Municipality of Linköping. The Social Services Administration is responsible for exercising authority, procurement of services, and in-house operations within the areas of individual and family care, LSS, and social psychiatry. Your Responsibilities As an Operations Manager within LSS, you will have overall responsibility for several sub-operations within the field, where you work broadly and are connected to personal assistance. You will lead operations that are geographically dispersed within the Municipality of Linköping and are part of a management group led by an Area Manager. Together with your management colleagues, you drive and develop the operations as a whole. In this role, you have collective responsibility for employees, finances, and operations, which includes both personnel management and quality work in accordance with applicable legislation, including the Work Environment Act. You are the first-line manager for a large number of employees, many of whom work day, evening, and weekend shifts, and you play an important role in creating a stable and sustainable work climate. You are supported by staff functions such as HR Consultant, Economist, Operations Developer, and Administrators. Your base is in the office with other managers and staff, but work also takes place out in the operations and at various locations in the municipality as needed. Your Workplace We are seeking Operations Managers for personal assistance. You will be part of the LSS Department, which is one of five departments within the Social Services Administration. The department has approximately 700 employees and is responsible for services to persons with decisions according to LSS. The department currently has 35 Operations Managers and 3 Area Managers and is led by a Department Manager. The department is responsible for ensuring that persons entitled to services under the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS) receive their services. Services include open activities, relief services, accompaniment, short-term stays, daily activities, and housing for all ages. The department has the task of conducting services in-house and procuring activities to meet user needs. You will be based at Drottninggatan 45 where we work activity-based with trust-based working hours. About You We are looking for someone with a university or college degree as a social worker, nurse, or in behavioral science/HR, or another education that the employer deems equivalent and relevant for the position. For the assignment, you need to have experience in management and leadership or have worked as an interim manager within social services. It is meritious if you have experience with shared leadership. We would like to see that you have experience with the LSS target group and good knowledge of LSS legislation. Since you in the role need to be able to absorb written material and communicate freely on a daily basis, you are required to have very good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing. If you also have experience with generative AI and using AI and digital tools in professional life, that is meritious. As a leader, you work with your employees to effectively reach common goals and have the ability to delegate and use the support resources available. Collaboration with others is a given, and you have the ability to be responsive by listening to the needs of employees and customers. As a person, you work well with complex issues and have a realistic belief in your own ability. Since we are in a changing operation, it is important that you have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances and are driven by development.
