The Infrastructure Department consists of units for Operations and Service, as well as Projects and Planning. The department is relatively new, and this position is located within the Projects and Planning unit. We are now looking for an engaged and confident operations manager who wants to lead, develop, and shape our infrastructure department for future needs. Responsibilities As operations manager, you have overall responsibility for properties, streets/parks, and the vehicle pool. You lead the operations both strategically and operationally with a focus on quality, economics, work environment, and long-term development. The role involves significant focus on change management and building efficient, sustainable structures. You provide direct management to three unit managers, operational support staff, and a safety coordinator. The operations broadly encompass everything from project managers and property managers to operations units and parking attendants. You are part of the administration's management group and report to the administration manager. Key responsibility areas: Strategic Leadership: Lead, coordinate, and develop operations within properties, streets/parks, and the vehicle pool. Change Management: Drive development and change processes in close collaboration with employees and external stakeholders. Overall Responsibility: Lead operations, finances, work environment, and personnel toward established goals. Structure and Efficiency: Create clear working methods and ensure sustainable management of the municipality's properties and public environments. Collaboration: Promote and develop strong partnerships both internally within the municipality and externally. Qualifications We are seeking a confident and communicative leader who builds leadership on trust, clarity, and accountability. You have a strong holistic perspective, are organized, and have documented ability to create engagement and participation during times of change. Requirements for the position: Relevant university education or other experience that the employer deems equivalent. Several years of experience leading with personnel responsibility. Experience of successfully driving structured change and development initiatives. Very strong ability to collaborate and communicate with different target groups. Meritorious: Experience from a municipal or other politically governed organization. Experience leading managers.
