The Social Services Administration in Mönsterås Municipality is seeking an Operations Manager for Elderly Care and Municipal Health and Medical Services.

The Social Services Administration is responsible on behalf of the Social Committee for, among other things, elderly care and municipal health and medical services in the municipality. Our operations run around the clock, every day of the year.

DUTIES
As Operations Manager, you have overall responsibility for the municipality's elderly care and municipal health and medical services. You are part of the Social Services Administration's management team and you have direct management responsibility for unit managers working within your area. Your immediate supervisor is the Administration Director.
The Social Services Administration faces challenges ahead that require collaboration and operations development. We believe in leadership that enables operations development both within your own area of responsibility but also in cooperation with the other administrations within the municipality.
You are responsible for planning, monitoring and developing operations in relation to applicable legislation, political objectives and internal governing documents.
As Operations Manager, you become responsible for overall budget and workplace environment work within your operational area. Within the administration and municipality there are various support functions to assist you.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with higher education such as a degree in social work, social care or other education that we consider equivalent.
You have worked in a leading position for at least 5 years, preferably within social care, and it is an advantage if you have experience managing other managers. You have experience with internal and external cooperation at local and regional level.
We would like to see that you have worked within public administration. You have good communication skills and can express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish. We expect you to have good computer skills. As Operations Manager, it is important that you have the ability to bring enthusiasm, energy and drive to the work as well as create participation and consensus around operations.
You see opportunities in changes and find it easy to adapt to changing circumstances. Participation is important to you and you enjoy cooperating with others but also need to be able to work independently and make your own decisions when operations require it.
As a person you are secure, stable and have self-awareness. You are used to actively leading, motivating and empowering others as required. You work towards goals and focus on results and change direction when goals change. You have the ability to think strategically and have a broad perspective.
A driver's license and access to your own car for work purposes are required.
