The Real Estate operations area consists of a staff unit and two departments: the Operations and Management Unit and the Real Estate Unit. The operations area comprises 40 employees. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As Operations Manager for the Real Estate operations area, you are responsible for the strategic development and long-term planning of the municipality's real estate portfolio. You report directly to the sector manager and are part of sector management, where you contribute to the entire sector's development. You have overall responsibility for operations, finances, personnel, and work environment for the operations area. You lead, plan, follow up, and develop the operations based on politically decided goals and the municipality's overarching strategies. The assignment includes driving and developing strategic matters within real estate management, premises provision, investments, and project development. Together with the operations, you ensure that the municipality's facilities are sustainable, cost-effective, and adapted to today's and future needs. The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with political leadership, sector management, the municipality's operations, entrepreneurs, and other external stakeholders. You create good relationships, lead change, and contribute to a culture characterized by cooperation, commitment, and development. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have relevant higher education or university education in, for example, real estate management, civil engineering, or another area that the employer deems equivalent. You have several years of experience in management and leadership with responsibility for operations, finances, and employees. You have good experience with strategic work within the real estate field and a good understanding of how real estate management, premises provision, and investments contribute to the municipality's long-term development. To succeed in this role, you need good knowledge of civil engineering matters, real estate economics, and management of complex operations. You have experience working in a politically governed organization. You are experienced in leading change and have the ability to translate political goals and strategic decisions into concrete results. Through developmental leadership, you create engagement, participation, and good conditions for employees and managers to develop and succeed in their assignments. As a person, you are confident, communicative, and relationship-building. You have a strategic holistic perspective while being able to translate visions and goals into practical action. You easily create and maintain good collaborations and value cooperation with employees, union representatives, colleagues, residents, and political leadership.
