Department of Internal Medicine, Länssjukhuset Ryhov We are looking for someone who wants to lead and develop operations at an internal medicine clinic with high ambitions to create care of the highest quality at every patient encounter. The Role of Operations Chief As an operations chief, you create the conditions for managers and staff to provide good and safe care and achieve established goals. You ensure that the clinic maintains high quality care, has good accessibility, and promotes cost-effectiveness. You recognize the importance of and realize collaboration and cooperation with other specialist healthcare at our three hospitals as well as with the county's primary care and municipalities. Healthcare faces several future challenges, not least related to workforce supply, accessibility, and changing care needs. As operations chief, you have an important role in leading and further developing operations together with the internal medicine clinic's management group and collaboration group. In your role as operations chief, you have overall responsibility for operations, which includes quality, clinical results, patient safety, finances, staff, work environment, and education, research, and development. To assist you are dedicated staff members including an assistant operations chief, medical director, care unit managers, section managers, and a controller and HR partner. As operations chief, you report directly to the healthcare director for the Medical Care operational area and participate in the operational area's management group. This means you have responsibility for seeing the bigger picture of the operational area. Joint work on capacity and production management is ongoing throughout the entire Medical Care operational area. You are offered a permanent full-time position in your basic profession. The assignment as operations chief is a fixed-term appointment for four years with the possibility of extension. Start date by agreement. We provide specialist healthcare for patients with acute and chronic diseases. The clinic's various specialties include hematology, nephrology including dialysis operations, neurology, pulmonary medicine, endocrinology, cardiology, gastroenterology, and rheumatology. The Internal Medicine Clinic is also a university healthcare unit that provides education for all our professions and conducts research in several areas. Together, the operations cover the entire Jönköping County. Medical Care has approximately 2,200 employees and approximately 3.2 billion kronor in annual budget. Your Profile We are looking for someone who is a physician with Swedish medical license. You have experience working in healthcare and previous leadership experience with budget and personnel responsibility. It is a merit if you have previously worked successfully as a manager and have experience leading in a complex organization. You demonstrate recognized good leadership that enables both staff, managers, and operations to develop.
