Operations Manager for Låktatjåkko Mountain Station Here you'll combine hands-on leadership, hospitality, and operational management with responsibility for finances, personnel, and business development in a truly unique setting. Låktatjåkko Mountain Station is part of Lapland Resorts and is located in roadless terrain, approximately nine kilometers from Björkliden. The mountain station offers accommodation, dining, and personal mountain experiences in an environment where weather, transportation, and nature's conditions are a natural part of daily life. About the Role As Operations Manager, you have overall responsibility for operations at Låktatjåkko Mountain Station. You are responsible for daily operations, guest experience, finances, and leading a team of approximately 10–13 employees consisting of mountain guides and kitchen staff, which varies by season. You manage the operation closely with both guests and staff, ensuring that the mountain station is run with high quality, excellent service, safety, and sound economics. The role is partly operational. This means you plan, lead, and follow up on operations while working alongside the team in daily tasks when needed. You report to the F&B Manager and collaborate closely with several different departments. Your Main Areas of Responsibility In this role, you are responsible for: lead, plan, and follow up on daily operations ensure a safe, personal, and professional guest experience manage approximately 10–13 employees recruit and onboard staff plan staffing and scheduling based on operational needs and budget conduct reviews, FeedForward conversations, and employee meetings track revenue, costs, purchases, inventory, and waste plan deliveries and logistics according to the mountain station's specific conditions ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and security procedures manage ongoing workplace environment work within the operation develop the mountain station's methods, offerings, and guest experience participate in operational work when the business requires it Who Are We Looking For? You are unpretentious and comfortable switching between leadership, administration, and operational work. You understand that hands-on leadership at Låktatjåkko sometimes means working side by side with the team. To thrive, you need to appreciate the mountain environment and be comfortable with the fact that the workplace is remote and accessible on foot or by various transportation methods depending on the season. We believe you have: Several years of experience managing personnel and leadership 1-2 years of experience from hotels, restaurants, destinations, tourism, or similar operations experience with recruitment, onboarding, and staffing planning understanding of finances, budgeting, and cost tracking strong ability to plan, prioritize, and make decisions strong communication skills in Swedish and English a genuine interest in hospitality and guest experiences ability to work independently and take responsibility for the whole operation It is an advantage if you have experience with: mountain, destination, or seasonal operations food hygiene and self-checks workplace environment and safety work scheduling and collective agreement negotiations purchasing, inventory, and logistics planning As a Person, You Are confident and clear in your leadership organized and financially conscious flexible and solution-oriented unpretentious and operational when needed engaged and present comfortable making decisions concerned with both guest experience and employee well-being What We Offer With us, you get the opportunity to lead and develop an operation in one of Sweden's most spectacular mountain environments. During the rest of the year, the focus is on planning and hosting dinners for Rakkaskåtan as well as weddings and other F&B-related events. Working hours are planned based on operational needs.
