SIA "Kuldīgas slimnīca" is hiring a midwife for an indefinite period About the vacancy: Position: Midwife (LR professional classification code 2222 02) Work organization: Full-time work, calculated working time, shift work Work contract: Indefinite period Work location: Aizputes iela 22, Kuldīga, Kuldīgas novads Salary: hourly rate of 7.75 EUR per hour (gross); Social guarantees and allowances: for night work, work on holidays, for experience in healthcare, for outpatient appointments, etc.) in accordance with LR legislation, internal regulatory documents and collective agreements. Main job responsibilities: Organize and manage physiological childbirth and care after physiological childbirth; Perform and document newborn care; Assist the neonatologist/pediatrician in procedures and accurately follow doctor's instructions/assignments, perform prescribed medical procedures according to your competence and approved protocols; Perform newborn screening examinations, sample collection and vaccinations; Inform and educate patients on family planning and contraception, pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum, breastfeeding, sexual and reproductive health and child care issues; Assess newborn's health status and perform newborn care, monitoring and health status assessment; Fill in medical documentation in a timely, accurate and compliant manner with hospital and regulatory requirements; Comply with infection control principles; Ensure confidentiality, data protection and patient rights in professional activities; Participate in healthcare change and Hospital development processes. We expect that you have: Appropriate education and professional midwife qualification (preferably certification in the specialty); Registration in the Medical Professionals Register; Preferred experience in child/newborn care; State language proficiency in accordance with LR legislation; Accuracy, high sense of responsibility, good communication skills, ability to work both individually and in a team; Good computer skills: MS Office environment, electronic correspondence, applications and IS, working with office equipment; Ability to respond quickly and act in emergency situations; Positive attitude toward work and healthy professional ambitions.
