The Citizenship and Migration Affairs Administration of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Latvia, registration no. 90000054163, announces a competition for the vacant position of SENIOR SPECIALIST in the Personal Status Control Department (permanent position).
Requirements for candidates:
Compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
Higher education;
At least three years of work experience in the application of legal norms;
Excellent knowledge of Latvian;
Knowledge of foreign languages, one of which must be English, at an intermediate (B1) level of language proficiency (job duties also include serving foreign clients);
Work experience in public administration (at least 2 years).
Main job duties:
Review cases in the field of legal status determination and prepare relevant draft decisions, including on the departure of third-country nationals;
Work with information systems;
Consult clients on legal status determination and departure issues.
