The Citizenship and Migration Affairs Office of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Latvia, registration No. 90000054163, announces a competition for vacant positions of SENIOR SPECIALIST at the Residence Permits Department (two vacancies for an indefinite period).
Requirements for candidates:
1) compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
2) higher education;
3) proficiency in the state language at the highest level;
4) knowledge of two foreign languages, one of which must be English (job duties include reviewing documents in foreign languages and consulting foreign clients);
5) good computer and office equipment skills;
6) experience and knowledge in the application of legal acts, ability to analyze large volumes of information;
7) understanding of residence permits and related issues in the field of migration;
8) desired experience in public administration.
Main job duties:
1) master regulatory acts in the field of migration and apply their norms when preparing draft administrative acts on matters within the department's competence;
2) review documents submitted by foreigners and prepare draft decisions on obtaining, registering, canceling, or refusing residence permits, and granting or revoking the right to work;
3) perform data entry and data updates of foreign nationals in the Unified Migration Information System and the Physical Persons Register;
4) consult clients by phone and by email, as well as respond to inquiries.
The Citizenship and Migration Affairs Office offers:
1) monthly salary EUR 1270 during the probation period and EUR 1410 after the probation period, before taxes;
2) additional leave and leave allowance;
