Senior Inspector (Operative Work) at the Criminal Investigation Service, Operative Activities Division of the Ludzas Administration (Fixed-term position) Requirements for applicants: Compliance with requirements specified in Articles 4 and 7 of the Service Career Law for officials with special service ranks in institutions of the Internal Affairs Ministry system and the Penitentiary Administration; Short-cycle professional higher education in the thematic field of legal science, civil and military defense, engineering sciences and technology, social and human sciences, or commerce and administration; Good knowledge of the Russian language (for communication with persons); Ability to use computer programs (MS Office products, email and internet browser); Desirable Category "B" driver's license; Before assuming office, must obtain a 2nd category (secret) special permit for access to state secret facilities. Main job responsibilities: Obtain, evaluate, and process received operative information in the prescribed manner; Respond to information indicating a possible criminal offense; Identify operatively significant objects and persons and conduct operative activities within assigned responsibility areas as directed by direct supervisor; Initiate and conduct operative activities and maintain records in operative files concerning criminal offenses, excluding particularly serious, multiple-episode, international or organized group crimes; Provide support for operative activities in files concerning particularly serious, multiple-episode, international or organized group crimes; Accumulate operative materials and develop files in the designated crime prevention area; Conduct tactical risk analysis based on investigation stages in case files and results of operative investigation files; Conduct measures unrelated to operative activities in the field of state border security and illegal migration combating; Collect, systematize and analyze incoming information from border control structural units; Review reports indicating possible criminal offenses and initiate criminal proceedings upon establishing legal grounds and basis, or refuse to initiate criminal proceedings; Conduct investigation or other procedural actions as assigned by the case manager as a member of the investigation team or procedural task executor; Draft administrative violation protocols and other procedural documents related to administrative violation cases.
