The Internal Security Bureau is a state administration institution tasked with detecting, preventing, and investigating criminal offenses committed by officials and employees of institutions under the Ministry of Interior, the Prison Administration, thereby increasing public confidence in state governance and improving public security. We invite applications from candidates for the position of Senior Inspector (official with special service rank) at the Pre-Trial Investigation Department of the Internal Security Bureau for an indefinite term. Daily job responsibilities include: Conducting pre-trial investigations in accordance with the investigator's duties, powers, and rights as provided by the Criminal Procedure Law; Reviewing materials, applications, and reports of committed or planned criminal offenses in the manner provided by the Criminal Procedure Law; Considering submissions and complaints from individuals in accordance with regulatory framework. Mandatory requirements for candidates: Academic or second-level professional higher education, or first-cycle professional higher education in law, civil and military defense, social and human sciences, commerce and administration; Compliance with mandatory requirements established in Articles 4 and 7 of the Civil Service Law for officials with special service ranks in institutions under the Ministry of Interior and the Prison Administration; Compliance with mandatory requirements established in Articles 9, second and third parts of the State Secrets Law; Knowledge of the state language to the extent provided by regulatory acts; Practical work experience in pre-trial investigation of at least 2 years; Good computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel); Ability to make decisions and assume responsibility; strong argumentation skills. We expect from candidates: Un blemished reputation; Ability to set priorities and rationally plan and organize work; High sense of responsibility and precision; Ability and skill to communicate and work in a team; High stress tolerance. Preference will be given to candidates with service experience in pre-trial investigation acquired in institutions under the Ministry of Interior or the Prison Administration. We offer: A salary corresponding to the specifics and knowledge requirements of the position from 2021.00 euro to 2323.00 euro, to which a coefficient of up to 1.5 may be applied; Regular allowance for special service rank and special allowance for performance of certain functions and duties of 300.00 euro; Social guarantees (vacation allowance of 50% of monthly salary once per calendar year when taking annual paid leave; health care services paid in accordance with regulatory framework up to 1100.00 euro per calendar year; compensation for purchase of clothing necessary for performance of service duties, etc.); Responsible work in a state administration office in central Riga; Opportunity to enhance knowledge and skills through various courses and seminars; Access to general physical fitness classes during working hours.
