Senior Inspector of the National Coordination Center under the Operations Management Administration
Requirements for candidates:
- Compliance with the requirements specified in Articles 4 and 7 of the Service Career Law for officials of the Ministry of Interior system institutions and the Penitentiary Administration with special service ranks;
- Short-cycle professional higher education (fifth-level professional qualification) (previously – first-level professional higher education) in the thematic field of computer science, engineering and technology, civil and military defense, or legal sciences, or education;
- Minimum 6 years of service experience in the State Border Guard;
- English language proficiency at least B1 level in accordance with the European Framework of Reference for Languages (for work with systems);
- Ability to use computer programs (MS Office products, email and internet browsers);
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and computer network architecture principles, computer equipment assembly and installation principles, information systems and database application issues;
- Prior to assuming office, must obtain a Category 2 (secret) special permit for access to state secret objects and a certificate for access to European Union classified information CONFIDENTIEL UE/EU CONFIDENTIAL.
Main job responsibilities:
- Be knowledgeable in the structure and basic operating principles of the Border Surveillance and Control System (hereinafter – RKS);
- Perform RKS module operation/functionality monitoring;
- Be responsible for data security and availability on monitored servers;
- Ensure RKS maintenance and operation in accordance with the European Border Surveillance System (hereinafter – EUROSUR) or security manager applications;
- Identify errors in RKS operation and correct them;
- Perform necessary software installation or updates;
- Document and verify RKS maintenance work and measures;
- Participate in necessary software architecture element development, task assignments and technical specification preparation;
- Perform central administration of RKS server and its components, regional administrator and system user account management;
- Prepare necessary RKS system user documentation and work instructions;
- Plan and implement work related to RKS connected systems/services (attendance recording systems, video surveillance systems, GPS systems) operation maintenance;
- Participate in information and communication technology procurement and project application documentation preparation and procurement procedures;
- Monitor the operation of the Attendance Recording System / Border Surveillance Sensor System (KUS@) NKC segment;
- Prepare operational situation reports and documentation from EUROSUR application.
