The Prison Administration is a state administration institution under the Ministry of Justice that implements state policy in the field of detention as a security measure and the execution of imprisonment as a criminal penalty.
An official is a person with appropriate professional education, qualifications, and special service rank who has taken an oath and serves in the Administration. The rights and obligations of officials are determined by the Prison Administration Law and the Service Law of Officials with Special Service Ranks of the Ministry of Interior System Institutions and the Prison Administration.

Requirements for candidates:
Compliance with the requirements established in the Service Law of Officials with Special Service Ranks of the Ministry of Interior System Institutions and the Prison Administration;
2. Academic or second-level professional higher education (Legal Science, Civil and Military Defense, Social and Human Sciences, Business and Administration, Computer Science);
At least five years of professional experience in the Ministry of Interior system, the Administration, and other law enforcement and security institutions;
Ability to cooperate within your competence with all structural units of the Administration's central office and correctional facilities, other law enforcement institutions and bodies;
Orientation toward development, personal responsibility, work planning, cooperation with colleagues, ethics, and integrity.
To perform the duties of the position, a Category 2 special permit is required for access to state secret facilities (appointment to the position after obtaining the special permit).
Responsibilities:
Conducts pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings;
Reviews submissions and complaints indicating possible commission of a criminal offense, examines applications;
In accordance with competence, initiates criminal proceedings as soon as the legally established reason and grounds are established;
Reviews information, materials, and submissions indicating possible commission of a criminal offense, conducts agency reviews, compiles agency review opinions, deciding on the initiation of criminal proceedings or making a decision to refuse to initiate criminal proceedings;
Assigns specific tasks to officials with special service ranks and employees for clarification of facts or circumstances that are significant in criminal proceedings;
Complies with the instructions of the supervising prosecutor, a higher-ranking prosecutor, or the prescriptions of the investigative judge.
