Legal Department
The Legal Division is looking for a senior legal expert
(civil service position for an indefinite period)

Your main responsibilities:
review complaint submissions and prepare draft decisions on administrative acts and factual actions issued by institutions (including permits for conducting polluting activities, waste management, chemical substances, mineral resource use, etc.);
ensure the institution's representation and document preparation in legal proceedings;
prepare information drafts for coordination in cases of transboundary pollution transfer;
prepare informational materials and participate in activities promoting environmental education and public awareness.
What we expect from you:
compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
higher education (at least a bachelor's degree) in chemistry, geography, biology, environmental science, or engineering sciences, or in another field if supplemented with professional experience relevant to this position or specialized studies;
knowledge of the system of environmental protection legal acts at the national and European Union level, as well as public participation in decision-making related to environmental protection;
strong Microsoft Office skills;
excellent state language knowledge and desirable English language knowledge for working with EU-level regulatory acts;
digital signature;
preference – professional experience in a position or specialty related to the areas mentioned in the responsibilities, or experience in public administration (longer than one year).
Also important is the ability to work in a team and with large volumes of information, ability to prioritize and plan your work accordingly, ability to argue your viewpoint, as well as a high sense of responsibility.
