The State Employment Agency (hereinafter - the Agency) announces a competition for a vacant employee position: Department of Labor Market ESF Plus project "Support for Better and Longer Working Lives" (hereinafter - the Project) Senior Expert (1 position for a fixed term - for the duration of the project implementation until December 31, 2029) The purpose of the vacant position is to ensure the implementation of the Project in accordance with the requirements of normative acts, project objectives and tasks, approved indicators and established results, to provide to the project target group employers and their employees, including employees aged 45 and over, if the person has been diagnosed with an occupational disease, its signs, or an occupational medicine physician or occupational health and disease physician has recommended health-promoting or health-improving measures in the implementation of project-supported activities and to monitor their implementation. Requirements for applicants: academic or second-level professional higher education; at least two years of work experience in the field of employment or project management; understanding of state policy in the field of employment and European Union employment policy issues; knowledge of the legal acts of the Republic of Latvia within the scope of the position's competence; collaboration, planning, organization, analytical and communication skills; state language education or state language proficiency corresponding to C level, 1st degree; good knowledge of English language in spoken and written form for experience exchange and cooperation with employment institutions of other countries; good computer skills (MS Word, Excel) and office equipment; excellent business communication skills in spoken and written form; a valid e-signature tool is required for the performance of job duties. Main job responsibilities: to implement and supervise project-supported activities for the project target group, including monitoring the activities of project partners Riga Stradiņš University agency "Occupational Safety and Environmental Health Institute", the Latvian Free Trade Union Confederation and the Latvian Employers' Confederation, in accordance with the timeline and achievable results set in the project and to regularly evaluate and report to the project manager on the progress of project activities implementation; to participate in the development and maintenance of the Agency's internal normative acts and the Agency's Quality Management System process that determines the organization of project activities; to participate in the development and process of employer selection procedures; to participate in the preparation of procurement documentation necessary for project implementation. The selection competition will take place in three rounds: First round - evaluation of applicants' education and work experience based on submitted documents. Second round – practical assignment, the results of which will be used to assess the applicant's professional knowledge. Third round - interview, during which the applicant's knowledge and competencies will be evaluated in accordance with the requirements set for the position. Applicants who qualify for the third round will be invited to the interview depending on the results of the second round assignment. For applicants who have received education abroad, we ask you to attach a document on its academic recognition in Latvia. The applicant evaluation commission will not evaluate applications that do not have the documents specified in the announcement attached. Within a week after the deadline for the announcement ends, we will contact those applicants who will be advanced to the second round of personnel selection.
