WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN OUR TEAM SENIOR EXPERTS AT THE SUPPORT PROGRAMS MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (3 POSITIONS) (state civil service positions for a fixed term until December 31, 2032) If you are interested in the implementation and monitoring of the European Union Social Climate Fund, we invite you to join the Ministry of Climate and Energy team! WE WILL ENTRUST YOU with ensuring the fulfillment of functions of the Ministry of Climate and Energy as the leading institution of Latvia's Social Climate Fund Plan 2026-2032, including developing regulatory provisions for plan implementation and monitoring, ensuring submission of payment applications and progress reports to the European Commission, coordinating audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with publicity and communication requirements, as well as cooperating with institutions involved in plan implementation and the European Commission. WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: • higher education in economics, finance, business management, management science, law, or another field relevant to the position, supplemented with professional knowledge necessary for the role; • knowledge and experience in the administration of European Union funds or other foreign financial instrument programs; • knowledge of EU institutions, operating principles, and decision-making processes; • interest in or knowledge of current issues in climate and energy policy, as well as understanding of policy documents and regulatory acts in these fields; • understanding of the state administration structure, at least one year of work experience in state administration and in developing policy planning documents or regulatory acts; • good English language skills (performance of duties involves working with documents and communication in English); • competencies – conceptual and analytical thinking, ability to work both in a team and independently, good communication skills, results-oriented approach, and ethical conduct; • compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law.
