Employment State Agency (hereinafter - Agency) announces a competition for a vacant employee position: Labor Market Department ESF Plus project "Support for Better and Longer Working Lives" (hereinafter - Project) Senior Expert (1 position for a fixed term - for the duration of the project implementation until December 31, 2029) Objective of the vacant position - To ensure the implementation of the Project in accordance with the requirements of regulatory acts, project objectives and tasks, approved indicators and defined results, provide to the project target group employers and their employees, including employees aged 45 and over, if the person is diagnosed with an occupational disease, its signs, or in a mandatory health examination an occupational disease physician or occupational health and disease physician has recommended health-promoting or health-improving measures to implement project-supported activities and monitor their implementation. Requirements for applicants: academic or second-level professional higher education; at least two years of work experience in employment or project management; understanding of state policy in the field of employment and European Union employment policy issues; knowledge of the regulatory acts of the Republic of Latvia within the scope of the position's competence; cooperation, planning, organization, analytical and communication skills; state language education or language skills corresponding to C level 1st degree; good English language skills in spoken and written form for experience exchange and cooperation with employment institutions of other countries; good computer skills (MS Word, Excel) and office equipment; excellent business communication skills in spoken and written form; a valid e-signature tool is required to perform the duties of the position. Main duties of the position: implement and supervise the activities supported within the project for the project target group, including supervise the activities of project cooperation partners Riga Stradiņš University agency "Occupational Safety and Health Institute", Free Trade Unions Confederation of Latvia and Latvian Employers' Confederation, in accordance with the schedule and achievable results specified in the project and regularly evaluate and report to the project manager on the progress of project implementation; participate in the development and maintenance of Agency internal regulatory acts and the Agency Quality Management System process that determines the organization of project activities; participate in the development of the procedure and process for selecting employers; participate in the preparation of procurement documentation necessary for project implementation. The selection competition will be held in three rounds: First round - evaluation of applicants' education and work experience based on submitted documents. Second round – practical task, based on the results of which the applicant's professional knowledge will be evaluated. Third round - interview, during which the applicant's knowledge and competencies will be evaluated in accordance with the requirements set for the position. Applicants who qualify for the third round will be invited to the interview depending on the results of the second round task. Applicants who have received education abroad are requested to attach a document on its academic recognition in Latvia. The applicant evaluation commission will not evaluate applications that do not have the documents specified in the advertisement attached. Within a week after the deadline of the advertisement, we will contact those applicants who are selected for the second round of personnel selection.
