STATE MEDICINES AGENCY Announces an open competition for a vacant civil service position - Senior Expert in the Changes and Reference Product Sector of the Efficacy and Safety Assessment Division of the Medicines Registration Department (for an indefinite period) Position Objective: Assessment of medicines registration documentation changes and reference product documentation Profession Code: 2422 09 Main Duties: Review applications for changes to medicines registration documentation and accompanying documentation, and draw conclusions regarding medicine efficacy and safety of use based on pharmacological, toxicological, and clinical documentation, as well as assessment of post-registration surveillance data. Prepare appropriate assessment reports; Review reference product applications and accompanying documents and draw conclusions regarding their pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, metabolism, toxicology, and other related aspects. Prepare appropriate assessment reports; Analyze scientific literature and draw conclusions; Understand and apply relevant regulatory acts to ensure qualified decision-making. Requirements for Candidates: Compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law Higher education (Master's degree) in Medicine or related sciences (e.g., Pharmacy or Biology); Language Skills: Latvian – Advanced Level 1 (C1), English – Intermediate Level 2 (B2) - for verbal and written communication with foreign clients and international institutions Ability to work with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and experience working with databases We Highly Value: Experience and knowledge in the field of human medicines registration; Logical and analytical thinking, ability to analyze problems in detail and thoroughly; Ability to quickly learn, analyze, and summarize large volumes of information and ability to argue your position both verbally and in writing; Good communication and cooperation skills; Willingness to acquire new knowledge and professional development.
