Child Protection Centre announces a competition for 1 vacancy in the Department of Child Welfare Promotion Violence Intervention Division Senior Expert position (with psychology qualification) (Riga, permanent position) Position Purpose: Implement violence intervention measures in child protection, lead crisis case resolution, and provide psycho-emotional support to children involved in crisis situations. Main Duties: Conduct case management and participate in violence intervention teams; Provide practical, methodological, and informational support on case management to educational institutions and other facilities where children spend extended time in high-level crisis situations; Coordinate crisis case resolution or participate in crisis case management at expert level; Conducte crisis situation analysis together with institution personnel to promote case resolution and personnel understanding of future actions to reduce crisis situations and risks; Provide psycho-emotional support to children involved in crisis situations, and to institution personnel as needed; Conduct interviews following psychology ethics and conflict resolution principles; Develop recommendations for educational institutions and other facilities where children spend extended time and that have received support in crisis management to promote long-term cooperation and reduce potential violations of children's rights; Organize or participate in inter-institutional meetings to promote decision-making and action planning in children's best interests; Conduct methodological and educational work for specialists of state, municipal, and non-governmental organizations and children – organize and lead creative workshops, seminars, conferences, participate in the division's information material development; Represent the Centre and division viewpoint within the scope of position competencies in working groups, inter-institutional meetings, assemblies, seminars; Inform the public about the division's activities, current child issues, and possible solutions; Educate the public about current issues in child protection and violence reduction, providing media interviews and participating in public events. Requirements for Candidates: Academic or second-level professional higher education in psychology; At least two years of work experience in psychological counseling or providing psychological support in crisis situations to children, adolescents, or adults; Experience and skills in organizing and leading work groups; Knowledge and skills in counseling and conflict resolution; Understanding of state administration operations and regulatory acts governing child protection; Understanding of child protection issue resolution; State language education or state language proficiency corresponding to C level, tier 2; Desired English language skills (minimum B1 level to analyze international practice and participate in experience exchange); Ability to work with standard office software (MS Word and MS Excel, internet browsers, email applications); Presentation preparation and presentation skills. We Offer: Monthly salary from 1851 EUR to 1948 EUR (before tax deduction) in accordance with the Classification of State and Municipal Institution Positions determined by the Cabinet of Ministers and considering the salary group corresponding to the position, as well as individual qualification, competency, and work performance level; Allowances and social guarantees in accordance with state administration regulations; Responsible and interesting work in child protection; Professional knowledge, skills, and ability development; Opportunity to contribute to the improvement of child protection regulatory acts; Opportunity to expand knowledge and gain practical experience in child protection; Opportunity to work in hybrid mode; Health insurance after probationary period.
