Vallebygdens Energi is seeking a committed CEO who wants to secure and develop our operations as Thomas, our current CEO, retires. About Us We are a cooperative society that ensures local electricity supply, builds and maintains local fiber networks, and is responsible for water and sewage networks. We also conduct electricity trading and electrical installation services. With engaged employees and a focus on personal service without complications, we take full responsibility for the infrastructure in our community. We are seeking a new confident leader who wants to help shape our future. A background in electricity/energy is an asset, but not a requirement. With us, you will have a key role where you, in close collaboration with employees, members, and the community, create visions and clear goals. We are looking for someone who thrives in a smaller company's fast decision-making processes and who wants to be close to the operations. You are driven to adapt us to new societal and economic conditions, while challenging us to think outside the box. We also see that you have a strong interest in digital development to strengthen the value for our customers. A strong security mindset is a given for you. We would like to see you live, or want to live, in our service area. Your Profile High social competence and strong references regarding the ability to develop and maintain good relationships with customers, landowners, suppliers, and employees. Experience in continuously conducting good environmental monitoring and translating it into consequences for the company. Be both visionary in the long term and goal/action-oriented in the short term, i.e., able to seize opportunities and implement them. You have a holistic perspective in interaction with society and have a good understanding of rural conditions and development. Your direction and willingness is to help develop the company long-term in close collaboration with the board. Desired Formal Competence and Experience Degree from university/college, or equivalent education and experience that supports our operations and their development. Experience from the electricity/technology sector, preferably electricity grid operations. Experience in financial management and personnel and budget work with profit responsibility. Experience of independent work in a leading position with personal maturity and integrity. Negotiation experience and experience conducting change and development work. Ability to drive us forward in our various businesses with business-like approach. Experience in electricity trading is a plus. Competence to handle government contacts well and take into account new laws/requirements and conditions in the industry. Good ability to delegate and build relationships to develop others, as well as good ability to communicate and listen. Experience handling marketing matters as well as procurement and various types of negotiations. Skilled IT user with curiosity about development regarding the use of various systems and digital solutions and tools.
